Worshipping together as a congregation is our greatest joy!
Our Sunday morning worship service includes singing – traditional hymns as well as contemporary praise songs – proclamation of the Word, a sermon and congregational prayer. We use the Revised Common Lectionary, a three-year cycle of Scripture readings.
Our evening service on Sundays includes music, proclamation of the Word, a sermon and a time for healing prayer. We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s supper every Wednesday evening and also on the third Sunday of each month at both worship services.
Our ministry of worship coordinates our Sunday worship services, including a special worship service for young children (pre-K to grade 4) and service on Wednesday evenings. Services are also held on holy days, including a Passover supper each Spring.
These are the anchoring Scriptures for our Ministry of Worship.
Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. For the Lord takes delight in his people. – Psalm 149:1-2, 4a
You are the children of God in a crooked and depraved generation in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life. – Philippians 2:15-16
Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably and with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire. – Hebrews 12:28
